This Brand-Shift Project, I rebranded Compost Cab, a DMV area compost pick-up service.
For the logo redesign, I evoked the decomposition cycle using the circular C form with an arrow.
I used the iconic Taxi Cab yellow to unify the brand applications with an energetic, eye-catching color. The vibrant yellow - prominent on the compost trucks, employee jumpsuits, stationary, and the porch pick-up vessel - becomes identifiable as the Compost Cab brand.
For this project, I aimed to make composting not only eco-friendly, but also hip and sophisticated. By moving away from stereotypical “green” imagery associated with sustainability, towards a modern, clean, cool design, I hope to expand the Compost Cab’s target audience beyond those who are already environmentally-conscious.
